Director's Message

 With a vision to provide quality education in the field of Engineering, Architecture, Management and Commerce and also in their mission to nurture human potential to its greatest degree suiting to the demand of market in this part of the world, BIRLA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, Ranchi, the premier technical University of India has stretched its wings to open the International Campuses in UAE and neighboring countries. This Campus at Ras Al Khaimah, being one of them started functioning since 2005 in RAK Free Trade Zone, presently, having strategic partnership of globally renowned organization, CORE International Institute of Higher Education, FZE.

 BIT has, since its very inception about 57 years ago in India, made more than its share of contribution to the educational field in offering undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs through quality teaching. Accredited by AICTE and UGC and also with global recognition, BIT has created a niche in the academic world, which is reflected in their unblemished performance in ranking consistently among top ten technical Universities of India.

 BIT Offshore Campus at Ras Al Khaimah provides an environment that is competitively intense but excellent for education. The earnest efforts are on to provide all the students maximum exposure to the fast changing technological world and also nurture the talents to make them ready for the upcoming challenges in the corporate world. Today, by taking an overview of the present situation in the way the world is being transformed into a competitive sphere, we can proudly state that the students of this campus of BIT rank in the more efficient and dynamic category, if not the best in the lot. To testify such a bold statement, we have in place the improvement curve of our levels of students in order to justify the efficiency with which the esteemed faculties are working with the students.

Courses Overview

Architecture is primarily the art and science of designing spaces for serving the multifarious activities of human beings and for meeting their specific needs in a meaningful built environment. Architecture uses the philosophic wholesomeness of Humanities, the logical rationalism of Science, the passionate imagination of Art and the inexhaustible resources of Technology. It calls for originality, creativity, conceptualization, perception, aesthetic values and a holistic judgment of people places, objects and events.

Apart from the scope of one’s own private practice, architects are in high demand in offices having core sector profile of architecture, construction, civil engineering, infrastructure development or real estate marketing. They also have wide scope in fields like urban planning, product designing, software design, multimedia etc and even in diversified field of set designing in films.

Engineering program at Birla Institute of Technology, International centre, RAK campus, has been created with the objective to inculcate state of the art technical knowledge in students and prepare them for major research and innovation. Also, the program aids students to take up various competitive assignments in the industry and develop entrepreneurial abilities.

The management programs basically provide structural insights into theoretical and practical dimensions of business management. The management programs offered at both undergraduate and post graduate level focus on developing the student’s managerial skills and competencies. Pursuing management programs offers students opportunity to work in a range of areas, including but not limited to finance, accounting, human resources, marketing, operations and technology management. Management programs offered at BIT Offshore Campus RAK are designed to cater to the requirements of modern business world and the students have an opportunity to specialize in Finance, Marketing, HR, Operations and IT.

Management programs are delivered through highly interactive lecture sessions by the experienced faculty from industry and academia. Activity based learning like case study, role plays, workshops and industrial visits are a part of the teaching pedagogy.
